A Mother's Legacy, A Daughter's Promise
The story behind MiKariann Kares™ isn't a business plan. It's a promise made at a bedside that should never have been necessary.
From heartbreak to a mission that will save lives
MiKariann was a mother who had her first child at just 14 years old. With minimal resources and no safety net, she raised four children on her own. She worked multiple jobs, sacrificed everything, and built a family through sheer will and unconditional love. She was the kind of mother who made something out of nothing — because her children deserved everything.
On February 22, 2024, MiKariann passed away — not from a terminal illness, not from old age, but from neglect in a nursing home facility. What started as a minor wound became fatal in less than three months. The people trusted with her care failed her in the most fundamental way.
Her daughter became an overnight caregiver with no medical knowledge, watching the system fail someone she loved in real time. That experience — the helplessness, the rage, the grief — is the reason MiKariann Kares™ exists.
This facility ensures no family goes through what ours did. Every program, every service, every decision we make is rooted in the belief that genuine care — the kind MiKariann gave her children — should be the standard, not the exception.
